[ Thor's more than a little relieved to see that she shares his impatience. Could she blame him for wanting to pick up where they had left off as soon as possible?
He glanced around, almost like he was expecting something to change - an interruption, some kind of disaster that might stop their meeting. ]
Not at all, my lady. And anyone who does avoid you is not of their right mind. I can assure you that I am very much in my right mind, and far from thoughts involving avoidance.
I was just thinking the same thing. Shall I meet you somewhere?
[She absolutely can't blame him, of course, even if she's still flattered. She laughs to herself, beginning the return trip to her apartment, so she can find something to wear...]
I'm glad we agree and that you're in your right mind. And not avoiding me.
[It's tempting to knock on his door on her way up to her apartment when she notices his name plate (directly below her apartment, how lucky), but she resists. She takes her time selecting her outfit, looking for the right mix of "willing to listen but dtf" and settles on an ensemble hidden under a long coat that feels just casual enough to fit the bill, even if a white shirt and Italian food is probably asking for trouble...
"Soon" could have meant anything, but as soon as she's all ready to head out, she does, activating a rune or two to help her speed along the way. She knows exactly who she's looking for, of course, but his warning about his appearance has her incredibly curious, and she arrives ready to avidly scan tables, as if she could miss him. As if she could miss those shoulders and that eyepatch, but also his hair.
It works for him.
She strides directly for him, holding out her hands for his. Her smile is bright and appreciative as ever.]
You know, you could have just told me you got a haircut.
[ Thor laughs at the unexpected comment, his smile a little sheepish. Maybe he could have mentioned the haircut. Isabelle to her credit clearly had no issue with the eyepatch.
He bowed as he brought one of her hands to his lips and brushed a kiss against it, his beard scraping the soft skin. At least he looked a little less like a wreck now that he wasn't in his armour and back in Midgardian clothing.
The suit jacket was always going to be stretched to breaking point, no matter how well-tailored it was. ]
I suppose no matter what I said, or what I look like, I will never match your radiant beauty, Lady Isabelle.
[Isabelle had been bracing herself for something much worse than a missing eye, truth be told. The warriors in her life so often returned to her with many a scar, and not all of them visible. To see him in good spirits was a relief more than anything. And he was striking before, but now... wow.
She can't imagine any physical change to him would lessen how that light kiss and the way he calls her Lady make her heart pound a little harder and her smile a little brighter. Because the fact that he's absolutely gorgeous is only one part of it. She's reluctant to pull her hand back, so she steps in and reaches up to cup his face gently with both hands, for just a moment as she grins up at him.]
It's not a contest. [Her voice is low and playful, as she slowly pulls her hands back, acknowledging his compliment and hopefully making it clear enough that she does not find him lacking, either.] I'm glad to see you again.
[She begins to unbutton her coat, intending to shrug out of it and lay it on the chair beside the one she's claiming for herself.]
You are still the winner in my eye. [ Thor wasn't so foolish as to believe he wasn't attractive. Once upon a time he had been very aware of his appeal to either sex. Right now though, he was maybe a little shaken and dare he even admit - fragile. It was easier for him to focus on Isabelle's beauty. ] I have been looking forward to this moment the second I returned to the city.
[ He watched a little too intently as she unbuttoned her coat and he could admire her choice in dress. There were few who could truly live up to her taste in fashion, and talent for making herself look even more stunning.
He took an opportunity to press his hand to the small of her back as he helped her into her seat. It wasn't necessary, but Thor wasn't entirely without manners. He still remembered some things his mother had taught him about treating women. ]
I have tried once before to tell it, and found myself lacking as a narrator, but I will do better for you, my lady.
How can I argue with that? [It might not have been a contest, but if he insisted, who was she to tell him otherwise? Her grin remains bright and playful as he very gentlemanly helps to her to seat. It's hard not to feel absolutely gorgeous with the way he treats her, looks at her, and while that alone would be more than enough to keep her coming back, there's so much more to him.
She can't help but keep smiling, reaching out her hand across the table for his, if he'll take it.]
Tell me as much as you want to, however you want to. I'm just glad to see you again.
[ Thor wasn't going to pretend to have Isabelle figured out quite so quickly, but what he did know was that he wanted the opportunity to get to know her. And she definitely deserved only the best treatment.
He took her hand with a quiet huff of laughter and gave it a gentle squeeze. ]
You have no idea how truly grateful I am to be able to see you too, Lady Isabelle.
[ He then took a breath and tried to summarise what had happened better than the tale he'd tried to spin for Magnus. The death of his father, the loss of his people. The discovery of a secret (evil) sister. Sakaar needed a little more explaining given the presence of Hulk and Banner, not to mention reconnecting with his brother and his new... friend. There were now three Asgardians in Cadelle. He wasn't about to warn Isabelle away from Loki, but should his brother ever hurt her he was going to be out for the God of Mischief's head. Or maybe just his hair since he'd loved Thor's haircut so much. ]

It's also a very wide smile indeed that appears at her response. ]
I will make sure we get a table, and meet you there soon, Lady Isabelle.
